Privacy Policy

FeeSaathi (feesaathi.com and app.feesaathi.com, and the FeeSaathi Android app) helps tutors and coaching classes in India send fee reminders, receipts and class updates to parents on WhatsApp. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is run by Rahul Bhatia, Delhi, India ("we", "us").
Who this covers
Tutors who create a FeeSaathi account, and students and parents whose details a tutor adds. For student and parent details, the tutor decides what to add and why; we store and process those details only to provide the service to that tutor.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, a scrambled (hashed) password, and optionally your coaching or class name, phone number, UPI ID and message language.
- If you sign in with Google: your name and email address from your Google account. We do not get your Google password, contacts, files or anything else.
- What you add in the app: student names, parent names and phone numbers, batches, monthly fees, due dates, class timetable, attendance, announcements, and payment status.
- Payments: when a parent pays through a Razorpay payment link, Razorpay processes the payment and tells us whether it succeeded, the amount and a payment reference. We never see or store card, bank or UPI PIN details.
- Technical: a login cookie that keeps you signed in, and basic server logs (time, page, IP address) used for security and fixing errors. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run your account and show your students, dues, receipts and attendance.
- To create fee reminders, receipts and class notices that you choose to send to parents on WhatsApp.
- To create payment links and mark fees as paid when a payment succeeds.
- To reply to your support emails and tell you about important changes to the service.
We do not sell your data or your students' data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run FeeSaathi, and only for that purpose:
- Render (app hosting) and Neon (database). Your data is stored on their servers in the United States.
- Razorpay, when you use payment links.
- WhatsApp / Meta, for the messages you send to parents.
- Google, if you choose Sign in with Google.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website; Google Fonts supplies its fonts.
We may also disclose information if Indian law requires it.
Your responsibilities as a tutor
Only add parents and students who know you use FeeSaathi to manage fees and class updates, and message parents only about your classes. Parents can ask you, or us, to remove their details.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your account and the students, dues and messages in it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
Your rights
You can see and edit your details in the app at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing rahul@feesaathi.com or using the delete account page. We reply within 7 days. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may also contact our grievance officer below.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as hashes. Access to the database is limited to the people who run FeeSaathi. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected users promptly if a breach affects their data.
Children
FeeSaathi is for tutors. Students do not use the app. A student's name may be added by their tutor so the tutor can track fees; parents can ask for it to be removed at any time.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email.
