Fee collection app for private tutors in India
A fee collection app for tutors keeps every student's dues in one place and sends each parent a fee reminder on WhatsApp with a payment link attached. FeeSaathi does this in one tap, settles the money straight to the tutor's own UPI or Razorpay account, and needs nothing installed on the parent's phone. It is free for the first 10 students.
Why tutors need something different from school software
Almost every fee management product in India is sold to institutions. The pricing, the onboarding and the feature list all assume an office, an accountant and a few hundred students. A tutor with 14 students has none of those, so the register stays a notebook and the billing system stays WhatsApp.
That gap is the whole reason FeeSaathi exists. A tutor teaching from home needs four things and nothing else: a list of who owes what, a way to ask without the awkward phone call, a way for the parent to pay in one tap, and a receipt that goes out on its own.
What a fee collection app should actually do for a tutor
- Generate the month's dues for every student at once. Not one invoice at a time.
- Send the reminder where the parent already is. On WhatsApp, in the tutor's own name, in Hinglish or English.
- Carry a payment link in the message. The distance between "kab doon" and "abhi kar deti hoon" is one link.
- Mark itself paid. An online payment should not need a second action from the tutor.
- Send the receipt without being asked. This is what makes a parent trust an independent tutor.
- Ask nothing of the parent. No app, no sign-up, no password. Parents will not install software for their child's tuition teacher.
How FeeSaathi works
- Add each student once. Name, class, the parent's WhatsApp number, the monthly fee. About twenty seconds each.
- Tap Remind all. Every parent gets a message from you, with the amount and your own payment link.
- Watch the board turn green. Paid dues mark themselves and the receipt goes back automatically.
Attendance, class notices and announcements ride the same rail, so a parent gets everything about their child in one WhatsApp thread.
Where the money goes
Straight to the tutor. FeeSaathi connects your own UPI ID or Razorpay account and never holds a rupee of the fee. There is no settlement delay added by us and no cut taken from a payment.
What it costs
Free for your first 10 students, with no card and no trial timer. That is enough for most home tutors to run a real month. A paid tier for unlimited students and AI class notes is coming, priced for an individual tutor rather than an institute.
Questions tutors ask
Do parents have to download an app?
No. Everything reaches the parent on WhatsApp, like any other message. They install nothing and sign up for nothing.
Where does the fee money go?
Into your own UPI ID or Razorpay account. FeeSaathi never holds your money and takes no cut of a fee.
Does it work if I only have a few students?
Yes. The free tier covers 10 students, which is where most home tutors sit. There is no minimum.
Can I send messages in Hinglish?
Yes. Reminders go out in Hinglish or English, whichever you pick. The app is built for tutors who teach in Hindi.
Can I still take cash?
Yes. Cash payments are marked in the app and the receipt goes out the same way, so your record stays complete whether the parent paid online or in hand.
What happens to my data if I stop using it?
Your student list and fee history are yours. You can export them, and you can delete your account from inside the app.
